What will the weather be like?
In early fall (September to mid-October), Tuscany enjoys mild, pleasant weather that is perfect for outdoor activities and weddings. Here’s an overview:
Temperature
Daytime: Highs range from 70–80°F (21–27°C), with warm and sunny afternoons.
Evening: Lows drop to 55–65°F (13–18°C), bringing cooler, crisp nights.
Rainfall
Rainfall is relatively low in early fall, though occasional light showers can occur. It's less rainy compared to late October and November.
Sunlight
Early fall still offers plenty of daylight, with about 11–12 hours of sun per day.
Sunsets are earlier than in summer, around 7:30–8:00 PM in September and closer to 6:30–7:00 PM in mid-October.
Atmosphere
Early fall in Tuscany is harvest season, so the vineyards and olive groves are bustling, and the countryside is lush with warm hues of green, gold, and amber.
The mornings are often cool and fresh, while the afternoons can still feel summer-like.
What to Pack for Guests:
Layers: Bring lightweight clothing for warm days and sweaters or jackets for cooler evenings.
Comfortable shoes: Perfect for exploring towns with cobblestone streets or vineyards.
Rain gear: While rain is uncommon, a small umbrella or light raincoat can be handy.
